Mutual agreement to part company with Echo CRS Honda
August 30th, 2010
I was grateful for the opportunity to stay in World Superbikes and ride for Honda and Echo CRS this year and I thank Sandro, Echo, Honda and all the team for their effort and support during this tough season.

On 24th August we reached a mutual agreement to dissolve the partnership for the 2010 Superbike World Championship. I am looking looking for opportunities to continue my racing involvement, for this season and the future and hope to announce something new in the near future.

I've been in the Superbike World Championship paddock since 2001, alternating between the World Superbike and World Supersport series. I have 23 World Supersport podiums to my credit, including five race wins, and I was runner-up in the WSS series in 2004 and 2007 so I'm sure I can secure a competitive ride.

I wish Sandro and the Echo CRS Honda team good luck and all the best for the future and again I thank them for the time we have spent together

Tough weekend at Silverstone
August 7th, 2010
The weekend started out not too bad. I knew that Silverstone was going to be a hard track as it has a lot of long straights so you need a really strong engine. Qualifying was ok and it was good to get into Superpole but we are still struggling with chatter when we have grip with the qualifying tyre, so I ended up 19th on the grid which was the best we could do. In race one, I was taken out by another rider on lap one, then in race two we were starting a little bit on the back foot after not finishing the first race so didn't have the set up information the other guys had. Eight laps into the race I was pushing hard to try and hang on to the group of four infront of me, when I lost the front on the brakes and ended up in the gravel pit. I tried to hold it on my knee but it just went away. So now I have four weeks holiday, I am going to concentrate on my fitness and be ready for the first race back in Nurgburgring before we travel to Imola and Magny Cours for the final two rounds.

Points In Both Races
July 13th, 2010
It was great to get some points, we didn't suffer with the chatter problem we have had all year, so we had a much better race pace. We lost a lot of time in qualifying and practice because one bike has had a problem for the last four races, so I have been on my spare bike. I got to race on my number 1 bike, which is a better spec at the moment. But if we are going to battle anywhere near the top 10, we are going to have to make some big changes.   Read more...
