Troy Bayliss Classic Flat Track race in Taree this weekend
January 20th, 2013
Broc appeared with some of Australia's finest two-wheel talent who descended on the small New South Wales town of Taree this weekend, thanks to a brainwave from Aussie former Superbike World Champion Troy Bayliss. Joined by World Speedway champions, MotoGP race-winners and motocross legends, all pitting their considerable skills on the flat-track at nearby Old Bar at the Troy Bayliss Classic, the entry list also included Jason Crump, Garry McCoy, Chris Vermeulen, Randy de Puniet, Josh Waters, Toby Price and Josh Brookes alongside Broc: “Well I qualified on pole but unfortunately I got taken out of the final on turn 2 while running 2nd and then on the re-run we had a bent disc and no front brake. We ended up 6th and showed we still had good speed against the dirt track boys. Thank you to Carlton dry Honda, Pirelli and Motorex for their help, I’ll be back next year for sure.”

Tyre problems in the final race of 2012 at Magny Cours
October 7th, 2012
The race didn’t go to plan, it rained today but in the warm up we were quickest pretty much for the whole session. Starting from pole I was hoping for a good result, the race started wet and I got off to a pretty good start, I went around the first sector first, from the second corner I couldn’t believe I had no grip, I don’t know if it was the tyre or if the tyre pressures were not right but the bike was just spinning and I knew something was wrong. I was going backwards so I came in for a pit stop, we put in another tyre and went back out and it was still really bad so we came in and changed the tyre pressure quite a bit and from there it was a lot better. Its unfortunate because I wanted a good result for the last race because next year I’m not really sure what I’m doing, there’s a few things going on at the moment. Its been an up and down year, I was expecting to battle for the championship but little things like this have held us back from that. We just got to look forward to next year and it depends where I’ll be and in which class, hopefully I can stay in this class. Keep your eye on this space for what is going to happen for me in 2013. Pole position for the final race of the season at Magny Cours
October 6th, 2012
We’ve been on the pace all weekend, since yesterday morning we found a good compromise with the bike, it feels really good. In the qualifier we did a bit of a long run and the tyre seemed pretty good and held up quite well and it’s a track I really like so I’m looking forward to tomorrow, its the last race with the team and it could be the last race here in the world championship so I have nothing to lose. Conditions could be wet, the forecast is for rain and we’ll see what happens, if its wet in the morning warm up we’ll get out and do some laps and try to be as fast as possible in the rain cos if its wet in the race we need to be quick straight away. Its good to be on pole but most importantly I want to try to win the race tomorrow for myself and the team. Click here for the full video.
