2nd in World Endurance Championship by 3 points after Suzuka 8 hour
July 28th, 2013
I started the 2013 Suzuka 8 hour for YART from pole and we were in 3rd place and still on the lead lap after 3 hours but unfortunately we had a small oil leak half distance while battling for 2nd position and lost 4 laps. Anyway after 209 laps we finished 8th and leave Suzuka 2nd in the world endurance championship, only 3 points behind 1st with 2 rounds remaining, the Oschersleben 8 hr in August and the Le Mans 24 hour in September. Click here for the full YART Suzuka full photo gallery

Broc & the Yamaha Austria Racing Team Qualify on pole at Suzuka 8 hour
July 27th, 2013
Broc will start the historic Suzuka 8 hour race tomorrow from the front with team mates Josh Waters and Katsuyuki Nakasuga after YART-michelin beat the record set in 2012 to start from pole at Suzuka for the second year in a row. The N°7 Yamaha finished clear of the N°12 Suzuki (Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team) and the N°634 Honda (Musashi RT Harc-Pro). Poor weather prompted the organisers to replace the initially-planned superpole shootout with a conventional 40-minute qualifying session which was spared by the rain. Ten minutes into the run, Katsuyuki Nakasuga posted a 2m6.817s, which improved on the record he established in 2012 by 0.028s. The Japanese teams did their best to beat the YART rider’s effort, but Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team’s second-placed Tsuda (2m6.960s) fell 0.143s short of the pole winner. Nakasuga and Tsuda were the only riders to get beneath the 2m7s mark. click here to see the starting grid
