Broc goes to MotoGP with PBM for 2014
December 12th, 2013
Broc will join Michael Laverty in the PBM MotoGP team for the 2014 season. Set to be the only Australian on the 2014 MotoGP grid, Broc has made one previous GP appearance - as a 125cc wild-card in 1999 - before starting his world championship career in 2001.

"Firstly, I'd like to say a massive thanks to Paul Bird for the opportunity to work with his team once again; I'm really looking forward to it. This is the premier class and it's every rider's dream to race in MotoGP. I know this is going to be a tough season but I'm certainly up for the challenge, I can't wait to get started."

The team state that Broc and team mate Laverty will race "PBM Aprilias", suggesting PBM's own chassis with the Aprilia ART engine rather than the full ART package.

2nd in the final round of the Asian Road race championship in Doha, Qatar
November 24th, 2013
A guest appearance in the final round of the Asian Road Race Championship at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar saw Broc back on a Yamaha R6 for the first time since the 2008 World Supersport Championship. Riding for the Akeno Speed Racing Team Broc was extremely strong finishing 4th in race 1 and came close to taking the win in the final two laps of the 2nd race in Doha, eventually finishing second to the newly crowned series champion Azlan, who fought back and pipped the Broc to the finish line by 0.180s, the first podium for the Akeno team in 3 years. "Fast crash at the start of qualifying on oil but the boys got the bike back together in time to get back to 3rd, could battle from there. 2nd in final race missed the win cause of couple small mistakes and had to use too much tyre to come back but happy with that. Small private team against the factory's was not easy but the team are happy. Its a very nice Championship and enjoyed the weekend. Has been cool this year to join 4 different championships and see how they are all run in different ways." In 2013 Broc rode in the final round of World Superbikes, World Endurance, won the Australian FX Superbike Championship and ended the year on the podium in the Asian Road Race Championship.
Points finish in 12th for Jerez World Superbike race 2 after tyre problem in race 1
October 20th, 2013
11th place qualification, 18th and 12th place finishes at Jerez riding the number 70 Monster Energy Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) World Endurance R1: "We came here with the Endurance bike and we knew it wasn't going to be enough, we always wanted to score points, a top 10 would've been a bonus. First race the tyre spun on the rim so we lost a lot. Second race we changed a few things to try and fix it and we scored points so I'm pretty happy. Second race I was 8th on the first lap and having a bit of a go so that felt good." Click here for the full video.
