Suzuka 8hour testing complete for YART ahead of the race
July 26th, 2017
We had a very good three days of testing. From the first test to today we improved the package and made the bike really comfortable, so we feel really positive. We did a race run and the lap times were very consistent, and actually quite good on average I think compared to the other teams. That’s because of Kohta and my experience here, which was also good because we could help Marvin since it’s his first time here. I think now we can be happy and pretty much come to the race with confidence. All three of us have shown good pace, and we have also been very consistent, which is so key in endurance racing, our aim is to try and fight in the top five and push for the podium if at all possible. All three of us have shown good pace, and we have also been very consistent, which is so key in endurance racing, our aim is to try and fight in the top five and push for the podium if at all possible. For us, it is a case of just going all out to get the best result possible in the race and trying to not worry about the championship. Of course, at the back of our minds will be the thought we could be champions, but honestly, our focus is just to go all out for this race and then we will see what happens with the championship.

Disappointment at 4th place finish in Slovakia 8hrs after technical problem
June 26th, 2017
I didn't get a great start but I got to the front after 14 laps and had a good battle with Hooky, we were leading the race for almost 6 hours then we had a problem with a chain adjuster, I had to come in twice and we lost 5 minutes. I was pretty fired up as they should have changed it at the first time I came in so I went out and gave it everything, my next lap was a 2.05.1. We got back to finish in 4th but we had the pace to win today. Overall I'm pleased with my riding and my pace, we're 27 points behind the lead of the championship with only 30 available in Suzuka so we have to go out and get a good result.

Pole position for the 8hrs of Slovakia Ring World Endurance Championship
June 23rd, 2017
Its been a good week so far for us we arrived here and straight away the tyres were working very well, Bridgestone in the heat feel amazing and we had a lot of confidence in the team. Unfortunately last night Marvin had a big crash on a cold tyre and the bike was destroyed. Today in qualifying we just wanted to fix and eliminate all the problems with the bike so that its ready for the race tomorrow. I think it’s the first time this season that we have all the riders on a good pace and it looks to be as good or better than the rest so this is a good situation to be in. This track is difficult, its going to be hot, its not an easy track and physically its going to be hard. There’s a big gap between us and the slower riders so its important to stay out of trouble and be as consistent as possible.
