Donington Park BSB first round races end in 16th and DNF
April 6th, 2015
Well the first round of BSB didn't go to plan, definitely had some issues today. In the first race we had a good starting position with 8th on the grid, we didn't get the best of starts and got duffed up a couple of times in the first couple of laps and then the bar end broke on my handlebar which is a big part of my hand grip so I only had half hand grip on my left side so I struggled all race to just ride the bike. I got a bit of arm pump 'cos I couldn't hold on properly. The lap time from the first race is the position on the grid for the 2nd race and for the 2nd race I started 19th. I made a good start, came through, passing guys, had a lot better pace, I got up to 11th position and then went into the last corner a bit more shallow than normal because one guy was trying to go inside me, it’s a bit bumpier and I lost the front. We didn’t get any points and its very disappointing as we had good pace and it would have been nice to take good points to Brands. Hopefully we can go there and get some good results to make up for this weekend. Click here for the full video

8th on the grid for first British Superbike race at Donington
April 5th, 2015
Here we are at my first BSB race at Donington, its been going pretty good, I’ve been working a fair bit on my race set up for the race tomorrow. The qualifying went pretty good we ended up 8th, it would have been nice to be a little bit better but considering I crashed on the first flying lap on the first corner it put us a little bit on the back foot and a bit rushed for the session. I didn’t feel so comfortable, we changed the bike for the start of the qualifying, we went back to what we knew and went a second faster with the softer rubber. We’re working every session to improve the bike and we’re not quite there at the moment to the top guys. I think tomorrow we can be stronger in the race. I need to get a good start and see if I can stay with the front guys, it’s a long race and quite physical so let’s see what happens tomorrow. It’s a pleasure to work with the new team, we’re starting to work better together, the bikes so new it’s showing the potential’s there for the future. Click here to see the full video.

First day of practice in British Superbikes at Donington Park
April 5th, 2015
I am pretty happy with things today. The bike felt better, but we will keep chipping away with it. I feel like now, when I have to put it on the line I am more comfortable to give that bit extra. After the test session here last week we discussed a plan to move forwards and we have worked much better and I have felt more comfortable straight away with the improvements we have made. We have not had to push for it today – I knew that I was little cautious in the morning but now we will be ready to roll for qualifying tomorrow so we are in the best position we can be for the races on Monday.
