Suzuka 8-hour for Monster Energy Yamaha Austria Racing Team ends after 10 laps with technical problems
July 28th, 2015
I was happy with my pace and I showed good speed in qualifying and at the start of the race. I felt good on the bike, it was better than I expected, because even after some laps the tyres were still good and the grip was there. My lap times were consistent and we had a good start. I think we were up to eighth when we had a technical issue. It’s a bit frustrating, because I think we could have been in the top five, looking at the results now. That could have been good for the championship. I believe Yamaha was satisfied with the performance we gave before the DNF, because we were the first team on Pirelli tyre.

Front end problems result in 11th and 10th at BSB Brands GP
July 19th, 2015
Well that’s Brands Hatch done and dusted, its been a bit of a mixed day really. I struggled a bit on the front in both races, I just didn’t seem to have the confidence through the corners to brake how I wanted to and the results weren’t as high as I was expecting. In the second race I had good pace towards the end of the race and it was enough but I didn’t have the pace at the start of the race. I started to catch a few guys to the end and made a few positions up. We learned a lot this weekend from both sides of the box, some ideas for the next race and I think those can help me a lot. I’ve got Suzuka now, I go to Japan and do the Suzuka 8 hours and then we’re back to Thruxton, it’s a new circuit for me but a lot of people say I should like it, its big, open and fast so I’m looking forward to that. Hopefully with some new ideas and some new parts I can make that next step and start battling for that top 5 where I want to be. Click here for the full video.

Best qualifying of the year so far with 7th on the grid for the Brands Hatch race on the GP circuit
July 18th, 2015
Just finished Brands Hatch qualifying it went pretty good, I’m quite happy with the feeling on the bike. I can go back to Tuesday this week, I went to see the Doctor after I had arm pump surgery and I was a bit concerned about riding this weekend, I still didn’t have any movement in my arms. Friday morning we felt I was a bit restricted on movement but I felt quite good on the bike, the most positive thing is I haven’t got the arm pump at all, I feel really good over more laps, I can pull the brake really hard and that’s been my problem this year during races. I got my best qualifying of the year, 7th on the grid, 3rd row. Normally I make a good start, its been quite warm here, good conditions so far, I like it like that and I like this track. Hopefully tomorrow we can try and get some good points and show again I can run at the front. Click here for the full video.
