Podium in Silverstone from 18th on the grid
August 5th, 2012
It was a really good race, the weather here this weekend has been really unpredictable, in the end we had a dry race so that was good. They red flagged it after the first start, I'd made a really good start from 18th and I was up to 9th so I was a bit bummed as its happenned a couple of times this year. I just kept my head together then in the next start I got an even better start and through the first turn we got a good run and I was up in the front bunch. I think I was 6th or 7th then I came through to 4th for a lot of the race, the PTR Honda's were out in front and they were setting a really good pace. This weekend we haven't had a lot of dry time so we started with what we could put together from Friday morning's dry session and it went really well. Finally i got up to 3rd and Quarmby sat me up in the hairpin, that cost me a lot of time, I got stuck behind him again for another lap and I lost the front two. I worked as hard as I could at the end to get back to fight with them on the last lap but ran out of time. We finished 3rd, its really good to be be on the podium from that position on the grid, its good points, we got 4 rounds to go and we're in a good position to fight for top 3 in the championship.
