Broc qualifies the Ten Kate Honda in 6th in high temperatures at Motorland Aragon
June 30th, 2012
It’s been a very hot couple of days here in Aragon. We started the weekend really good and we still got the best time of the weekend yesterday in Friday morning Practice, but we crashed yesterday afternoon and with the temperatures being so high it’s been quite difficult to improve on that time. We struggled a little bit just now in qualifying, we tried some stuff to try and make the bike better in the hot conditions. We tried a couple of tyres at the end, one that was harder and then a softer one at the end and we ended up hitting traffic both times. The times at the front are very close and we ended up sixth. Not really where we should have been, front row is always a goal. Race pace is still OK, but we need more punch off the corners, race tyre is going to be a bit of a gamble, one of the tyre’s is not that quick and the other may not go the distance and that seems to be the best of the two. We’ll make a decision tonight and talk to the boys and the get on with it tomorrow. Click here to see the full video.
