8th on the grid for first British Superbike race at Donington
April 5th, 2015
Here we are at my first BSB race at Donington, its been going pretty good, I’ve been working a fair bit on my race set up for the race tomorrow. The qualifying went pretty good we ended up 8th, it would have been nice to be a little bit better but considering I crashed on the first flying lap on the first corner it put us a little bit on the back foot and a bit rushed for the session. I didn’t feel so comfortable, we changed the bike for the start of the qualifying, we went back to what we knew and went a second faster with the softer rubber. We’re working every session to improve the bike and we’re not quite there at the moment to the top guys. I think tomorrow we can be stronger in the race. I need to get a good start and see if I can stay with the front guys, it’s a long race and quite physical so let’s see what happens tomorrow. It’s a pleasure to work with the new team, we’re starting to work better together, the bikes so new it’s showing the potential’s there for the future. Click here to see the full video.
